Visual artist Peter Weidenbaum collaborated with poet Agnieszka Kuciak on Vers Brussel, a project for the Montgomery district in Brussels. Under the title Passing By, Weidenbaum creates a poetic visual language, describing his intervention as a temporary infiltration of the neighborhood. Using a digital camera as a “third eye,” he archives fragments of the urban fabric, navigating the city like a labyrinth of streets, lines, and passages. These images become stills of a passing world—anchor points within constant movement. Through repeated moments—rather than repeated images—his works confront themes of isolation and disconnection in the urban environment. Installed along a walking route, the paintings interrupt everyday space, prompting passers-by to reflect on their surroundings.
