Grounded Objects invites a layered reading that engages both the physical presence of the objects and the conceptual framework behind them. The word grounded operates on multiple levels: physically, it refers to objects situated in or emerging from the landscape - rooted, resting, embedded - as if they belonged to the terrain as remnants, constructions, or interventions. Conceptually, it suggests a connection to reality, materiality, and stability, even when the forms remain abstract or ambiguous. Emotionally, grounded also carries a sense of calm, weight, and introspection: a feeling of restraint or silence in dialogue with the landscape. The word objects emphasizes their autonomous presence: not merely elements within a scene, but entities with their own visual and material language, evoking both natural formations and human-made artefacts, and dissolving the boundary between sculpture, architecture, and landscape. Grounded Objects thus speaks to the tension between form and environment, presence and absence, abstraction and reality.
