In this series, the image of a resort in Turkey is revisited in a nocturnal and quiet atmosphere. The paintings strip the place of its usual function of relaxation, pleasure, and bustle, allowing another reality to emerge. In the absence of exuberant bathers, attention shifts to architecture, emptiness, light, and silence. The result is a series in which the familiar setting acquires a strange and almost unreal charge.
